Synopsis: A new comprehensive guide to the Models of Yesteryear Series 1953 - 2009 and Dinky Collection from Matchbox from 1989 - 2009. All Models are listed with a colour photograph.
An A5-sized book with 273 compelling pages fully indexed. The book does not attempt to cover variations just a comprehensive guide to all models issued.
This comprehensive book includes full colour photographs of all the Models of Yesteryear produced between 1953 and 2009, and the Dinky Collections produced by Matchbox between 1988 and 2009. The guide also includes all models which have the original Models of Yesteryear or Dinky castings, but - although produced by Matchbox - were not an official part of the series.
Models of the Tanks / Aircraft / Kingsize and Convoy series are not featured, and Code Two / Code Three and Code Four special issue models have also not been included, as the catalogue solely features official models that were made in Matchbox' factories.
Four models per page are photographed, with the name and year of each vehicle, individual code number, year of issue and category, and two small (tickable?) circles with 'Modell' (it's German) and 'Box'.
All official series 'Models of Yesteryear' vehicles are featured, which were produced by Matchbox between 1953 and 2009 from their factories in England (until 1985/6) and then Macau and China, but NOT any Code Two, Code Three or Code Four models.
Limited-edition models produced by the likes of Creaks of Camberley or Matchbox International Collectors' Association (MICA) are not included in the listings.
